本日は、明日から開催される高校総体に向けて壮行式が行われました。

司会は、来週NHK放送コンに挑む放送部。

開始宣言の後、校長先生からの激励の言葉がありました。

その熱い応援に続き、略旗推戴と選手宣誓が行われました。去年に続けて今年の壮行式は、運動部だけでなく文化系の部活動に所属する生徒たちと学校外のクラブチームなど、社会体育の場で活動する生徒たちも参加しました。各部代表が大会日程や抱負を語りました。それぞれの言葉からは、これまで積み重ねてきた努力と、大会へ向かう強い決意が感じられました。

また、生徒会が作成した応援動画も上映され、会場は大きな拍手と温かな空気に包まれました。

式の最後には、全校生徒によるエールとして、早稲田の応援歌「紺碧の空」を斉唱。各大会へ出場する部員たちと全校生徒が向かい合い、肩を組みながら歌う姿は、学校全体で挑戦を後押しする熱い思いが伝わってきました。

仲間からの声援を力に変え、選手たちはそれぞれの舞台へ挑みます。健闘を祈ります。

Today, the school held a pep rally to encourage and celebrate the students who will compete in the High School Sports Festival that kicks off tomorrow as well as students with other upcoming competitions. 

Serving as masters of ceremony were members of the Broadcasting Club, who will participate in the NHK Broadcasting Contest next week. Following the opening declaration, the principal delivered an inspiring message of encouragement.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of the school flag and the athlete’s oath. As with last year’s rally, the event brought together not only members of the school’s athletic teams but also students from cultural clubs and those who compete with community-based sports clubs outside of school. Representatives from each group shared the details of their upcoming competitions and spoke about their team’s goals, their determined declarations reflecting the countless hours they’ve devoted to practice and preparation and their unshakable commitment to doing their best.

A special highlight of the ceremony was a video created by the Student Council to applaud and energize the clubs. Their heartfelt message was met with warm applause and filled the gym with an atmosphere of encouragement and unity. 

To conclude the ceremony, the entire student body joined together to sing Konpeki no Sora, Waseda University’s famous fight song. Students stood face to face, linking arms, and sang together. The moving scene they created perfectly reflects our school’s unwavering support in every challenge our students undertake. 

Carrying the encouragement of their classmates with them, our students now set out to compete on their respective venues.
