校内のあちらこちらから、歌声が聞こえてきます。

明日に控えた合唱コンクールに向けて、今日は各クラスが最後の練習に励んでいます。

午前中は高校生、午後は中学生。それぞれが教室や体育館のステージ、音楽室などで声を合わせています。

廊下を歩けば、あるクラスは力強く、あるクラスはやさしく。クラスごとに異なる歌声が重なり合い、学校全体がひとつの”音楽ホール”のようです。

真剣な表情で指揮を見る姿、大きく息を吸い込む瞬間、何度も繰り返し音を確認する様子ーーその一つ一つに、「より良い合唱にしたい」という思いが感じられます。

穏やかな陽ざしと涼しい風に包まれた今日の校舎。窓から流れるハーモニーが、季節の空気ともに心地よく広がっていました。

You can hear music no matter where you go in this school today.

As the Choir Competition taking place tomorrow, each class has spent today putting the finishing touches on their performance. High school students rehearsed in the morning, while junior high school students practiced in the afternoon. Classrooms, the gymnasium stage, and the music room were all filled with students raising their voices in unison. 

Walking through the hallways, each class’ unique sound – some sang with power, while others performed with gentle warmth – floated about in the air. Classmates’ and friends’ voices blended together and made our campus feel like one big concert hall. 

Students watched their conductors with focused expressions, taking deep breaths before each phrase, and repeated difficult passages over and over again until they were all perfectly in harmony. Each rehearsal reflected the determination they shared to give the best performance possible. 

The school buildings today, bathed in gentle sunshine and a refreshing breeze, with beautiful harmonies drifting through open windows, radiated a warm and peaceful atmosphere that perfectly matched the season.
