爽やかな青空と心地よい風に恵まれた今日、合唱コンクールが開催されました。午前は高校、午後は中学生がステージに立ち、これまで積み重ねてきた練習の成果を披露しました。

会場には多くの保護者の方々が来校され、生徒たちもどこかうれしそうな表情を見せていました。クラスで声を合わせる緊張感と達成感が、体育館いっぱいに広がりました。

司会進行は文化委員会が担当。音楽科教員や管理職が審査員を務め、生徒たちの歌声に耳を傾けました。

さらに今回は、九州大学合唱団の皆さまにもご来校いただき、特別演奏を披露していただきました。合唱は、なんと学園歌からスタート！生徒たちにとって、馴染み深い曲が、大学生の豊かなハーモニーによって新たな表情を見せ、会場は一気に引き込まれました。
迫力ある歌声に、演奏後にはアンコールを求める声が多く、九州大学合唱団の皆さまは、そのエールにも快く応えてくださり、会場は大きな拍手に包まれました。

それぞれのクラスが積み重ねてきた努力が、一つの「歌声」として形になった一日。仲間と心を合わせて作り上げた時間は、生徒たちにとって忘れられない思い出になったことでしょう。

Blessed with clear blue skies and a refreshing breeze, today was the perfect day for our annual Chorus Contest. The high school students took the stage in the morning, followed by the junior high students in the afternoon, both groups proudly showcasing the results of weeks of dedicated practice.

It was wonderful to see so many parents and guardians in attendance, which clearly brought an extra touch of joy to the students’ faces. There was a nervous excitement and and a shared sense of accomplishment as each class’s harmonized voices filled the gymnasium.

The event was hosted by the Cultural Committee, while our music faculty and administration team served as judges, listening intently to every performance.

We were also thrilled to welcome the Kyushu University Chorus for a special guest performance. To everyone’s delight, they kicked off their set with our very own school song! Hearing a piece so familiar to our students transformed by the rich, mature harmony of the university choir was a truly captivating experience. Their powerful vocals completely wowed all of us in the audience. As the final notes faded, enthusiastic calls for an encore echoed through the hall, and the university choir graciously obliged, bringing a massive round of applause.

Today was a beautiful culmination of each class’s hard work, blending individual effort into a single, unified voice. The time spent working heart-to-heart with classmates to create something beautiful will undoubtedly become a cherished, unforgettable memory for our students.
