心地よい潮風が松葉を揺らし、校舎に吹き込む中、3週間ぶりに顔を合わせた生徒たちは、明るい笑顔で挨拶を交わしていました。
　本日、夏休み明けの始業式が行われました。真夏日となった今日は、青空が広がる一日となりましたが、体育館では空調設備の工事が続いているため、始業式は各教室への遠隔配信で実施しました。

　始業式の後はHRと大掃除。教室の後ろの棚には、中学生も高校生も夏休み中に取り組んだ課題や提出物がぎっしり。久しぶりに顔を合わせた友達と楽しそうに話しながら、それぞれの場所の掃除や提出物の整理に取り掛かりました。

　中学生は課題考査にも臨み、夏休みの学習の成果を発揮しようと、真剣な表情で問題に向き合っていました。

　長い夏休みを終え、学校にも少しずついつもの活気が戻ってきた生徒は、来週からいよいよ文化祭の準備が始まります。9月4日の文化祭に向けて、全力で盛り上げていってほしいです！　

 A gentle sea breeze rustles through the pine needles and drifts into the school buildings as students greet each for the first time in three weeks. The shelves at the back of each classroom slowly become packed with assignments that students had completed over the summer break.

 Today marked the start of the new term. The air conditioning in the gym is still under construction, so with clear blue skies and temperatures reaching midsummer levels, it was decided the ceremony to mark our return to school would be held remotely.

 After the ceremony, students had homeroom and then took part in a school-wide cleanup. Some students went to their usual cleaning stations while others set to work organizing the piles of assignments. The junior high school students also took their post-summer-break exams, tackling the questions with focused expressions as they put what they learned (or were supposed to have learned…) to the test.

 With the long summer break now behind them, the familiar energy of school is gradually returning. Next week, students will begin preparations in earnest for the school festival, which takes place on September 4th. We hope they will work together and make it a memorable day for everyone!
